[Rika is not amused. At all. The way she is currently presenting herself seems to be completely different than in the past. She means serious business.] Whoever is responsible for this is going to pay. [And she is quite sure of who it is.] I do not appreciate something like this happening in a world that is meant to be peaceful, and I will do what I can to make sure it is stopped.

Therefore, I will be investigating this, since it seems to be coming from outside of Violet City, judging from the direction the crystal is growing. Due to the negative effect that this is having on the environment, I would not be surprised if something similar was going on with the pokémon in the general area.

If you would like to accompany me, meet me at the Center. Make sure your team is well rested and prepared for battle.

[Rika leaves the Center, walking at a brisk pace towards the edge of Violet City.]

Yes. I have a feeling that a human is behind this.

[She smiles a little.] Then let's go! [She begins to lead the way out of Violet City.]

Yes. A situation like this is dangerous and many will end up injured at this rate.

[and the feed cuts out]

I have a feeling that it isn't. This has to be a group effort. Something as widespread as this... it can't be done alone.

Some kind of organization? But who would...

[In the meantime, Rika is making her way to the outskirts of town.]

... I believe so. However, I don't even have the slightest idea what their motives may be.

Ah, don't force yourself... I can wait it out by the entrance of-- going by the map-- the Ruins of Alph.

Don't worry, I won't be! I'll be there soon.

[Mitsuru is as well, her Butterfree flapping behind her as she does so]

[She looks at her two pokémon carefully, making sure that they're ready for this task. They both look back at her, ready to fight. She can't help but smile at them.] Thank you. We will not be fighting alone, though. Mitsuru will be joining us soon.

[as she reaches the outskirts of Violet, she sees the familiar splash of blue hair that belongs to Rika]

Furude! [she calls out to her, breaking out into a brisk walk] Are you all right?

[At Mitsuru's voice, Rika turns around.] I'm doing fine. How are you doing?

We won't find that out until we get to the source of all of this. [ and at that, she lengthens her strides. ]

I'm well. Are you fully prepared?

That's true. And in the meantime, we can try and keep whatever this is at bay. [Rika plays a little bit of catch up now.]

I am. My pokémon and I are ready for battle!

Then let's-- [but before she can finish a nice swarm of Unown suddenly BARRELS toward them]

[Rika is momentarily caught off guard.] Hope, use Tail Whip to weaken them a little!

Mm... Be careful, Rika-san...

I will! [She flashes him a smile before shutting off the gear and then goes into a RUN.]

*Waiting for her or not, Hayate has had to keep himself busy fending off Unown, and by the time Rika will be arriving he has Hina and Sony both out torching and electrocuting their fair share*

[and her Butterfree immediately flaps her wings to send the Unown Rika weakened flying]
