[Rika's peacefully walking out of the Center in Goldenrod, when a bright light suddenly flashes and she covers her eyes. When she opens them, a strange pokémon is in front of her.]

Mii? What should I do with you? [She backs up a bit, slightly afraid of the large pokémon. However, she smiles.] I suppose I should catch you! [She throws a pokéball that she got from her bag at it, successfully catching it. Rika releases it from the ball and smiles at it again.] You look scary, but I'm sure you're not! [She tilts her head to the side.] Mii... what are you, though?

Alaska is the only place where I can live and understand the people around me, because... I need to be naturally cold.

This world is odd.

[She giggles.] It really is. There are a lot of people from many different worlds here.

[She smiles back.] I'm glad they're there.

... Keiichi and Satoko are here with me. Rena was here for a while when I first arrived, but she left soon after.

I have met amazing people in this world as well. They've become some of my closest friends, and are people I trust completely.

Are you implying that you don't live here?

... I wasn't born here. I was born in a small village. However, I ended up in this world several months ago.

S-Several months ago?

I don't think I'd be able to live that long without my power source...

Mii. I hope that's not the case. I wouldn't want to see you die.

So you're not alone. It's good to know that my other self has people to rely on in this world.

...Rena left? Do people come and go all the time here too?

I see. This world functions similarly to the one I just came from. But even after people leave, it's still possible to see them again...

[Here comes Satoko walking up with a Spinarak following her. Her clothes looks like they've warn out. She pauses for a moment and sees that giant pokemon. Oh God, afraid!]

Ahh! Monster!

You're a nice person. I wouldn't want to see that happen to someone like you.

It's very nice. I never thought I would be able to look at someone as if they were family.

... Yes. I've seen some people return after they've left. However, sometimes, they don't seem to remember their previous stay.

[Rika turns and spots Satoko, and she smiles immediately.] Satoko!

[She pauses when she notices how scared Satoko looks.] Ah, it's a Lugia. He seems very friendly.

I know the feeling.

...It can be sad sometimes, but there's no harm in trying to become friends again. ["Pika!" ...She almost forgot about that bright yellow rodent latched on her head. She points at it.] Mii. Are these part of this world too?

O-Oh. [He fidgets a bit more in his coat.]

Thank you... I guess. [social skills? what are those.]

R-Rika-chan, I think it's a dragon!!

[Rika only giggles.] You're welcome!

Mii. I forgot to ask. What is your name?

Yes, they are. Instead of animals, in this world, there are pokémon. [She gestures to the Lugia.] I also have my own team of them.

[She knows that voice! Rika turns around to see if it's who she thinks it is. And... it really is Mion. She stands there for a few moments, speechless.]

[Then, she smiles.] Mi!

It may look like a dragon, but it's a pokémon. They're the animals of this world.

Does that make it... safe?

[mostly worried about Rika there, but-- well, she seems okay with it.] I think you've got some explaining to do...

Mii? Why do you have a team?
