[The gear turns on and Rika gives it a thoughtful look.]

Mii... I wonder what is going on. There seem to be a lot more people here than usual. Although it usually is busy here, it's never this busy. [She lets out a small sigh and adjusts the gear so that it shows a group of five Vulpixes sitting on the ground, looking up at Rika.]

I also wonder where they came from. I noticed that they were following me earlier, so I've decided to keep them with me. [A Ninetales wanders into view and licks one of the pokémon on the head.] Hope really likes them too.

[And a second later, Rika is bombarded by said group of Vulpixes as they all try to leap into her arms at once.] Mii!

[In the middle of hugging several Vulpixes when she hears that voice. For a second, Rika can't help but think that she's hallucinating or just hearing random voices. That is, until she turns around and sees Hanyuu for herself. She quickly apologizes to the pokémon before running over and giving Hanyuu the biggest hug.]

Hanyuu!

Au... where are we, Rika?

We're in a place called Johto. The city we're currently in is called Goldenrod.

Hanyuu... When did you get here?

I just got here, I think, nano desu.

[There's a pause as she thinks. There's no way it's possible for her to get from New Bark or Mahogany to Goldenrod in a day.]

Maybe your appearance has something to do with all of these extra people suddenly showing up.
