[It's sometime midday when Rika turns the Gear on, and faces the camera towards herself. She's currently sitting down on the trail right outside of Goldenrod, coming back from a training session with her team.] Mii. Training really is a lot of fun. It's a great way to spend time with all of my pokémon. [She grins as a Ninetails nuzzles against her face.] Ah, that's right! Hope has finally evolved. She's become very strong, and I decided that it was time for her to evolve, and now she's gotten even stronger. [Rika pats the Ninetails on the head.] I'm very proud of her.

[There's a small pause before Rika smiles again.] As of today, I have a new member on my team! [She puts the Gear down for a moment as she releases a pokémon. Once she picks it back up, Rika now has a Bulbasaur in her lap.] I'm not exactly sure what to name him yet, but I know that I will come up with a good name! Nipaa!

I've noticed that so many people seem to have really interesting names for their pokémon. How do you decide what to name your pokémon?

My Persona-- first Penthesilea, then Artemisia-- assisted me in fighting them.

Ah, I see. Are they spirits?

Not exactly. They are... representations of your psyche.

Hmmm... I see. So, they come from your mind?

Not everyone has the potential to wield one, but essentially... yes. They do.

Not everyone does? That must mean you have to have a stronge psyche, then, right?

No... I don't believe that's precisely how it works. Some are merely born with the potential to summon a Persona from their psyches, while others cannot.

Ah, I see.

Your Personas must be very strong, though, if your pokémon team is anything to go by.

I admit, it was strange not having Artemisia when I first arrived here. The Pokemon have been comforting in that respect.

They really do seem to fill whatever we're missing from our worlds when we get here.

They do. And they also make excellent company.

Yes, they really do. I really enjoy spending time with them. They're also really easy to talk to.

I only wish I could understand what they were saying myself.

As do I. However, I think I'm beginning to understand what they're trying to tell me.

Do you?

I think so! I've spent so much time, that I've learned what they mean by the way they say things or how they act.

That is good to hear, Furude. Communication is rather important between team members, after all.

I think so too. Do you communicate with your team well?

I like to think I do. We communicate with each other well.

[Rika giggles.] If your battles are any indication.

[she chuckles at that]

In the future, I hope to be as good at battling as you, Mitsuru.

I've seen you accomplish great things with your own battling skills, Furude.
