[Rika turns the pokégear on, and immediately turns it onto her.] Mii... It's a bit strange being back. [Especially since all of the memories of Johto came rushing back to her as soon as she woke up, but that's something she won't mention right now.] I believe it was July that last time I was here. [She looks at her surroundings before looking back at the Gear.] It's colder than it was when I left, so it's been at least a couple of months, right?

[She lets out a small sigh. Honestly, she's not sure if she wants to know how long she's been gone. Especially if she's been gone for a long time, since it'd be more likely for her friends to have gone home—but she's trying not to think about that right now.

So, whatever frown might have formed disappears as she smiles and turns the Gear to an Absol sitting on the ground next to her.] I also have a new pokémon! Although, I'm not sure what I want to name him. [Rika turns the Gear back to her.] I wonder if anyone would like to help me name him? I suppose I could make whoever's suggestion I use a homemade lunch. [There's a short pause.]

... I should probably introduce myself since I'm sure plenty of new people have arrived. I'm Rika Furude and I was here in Johto for two years before I went home. It's nice to meet all of you. Nipaa~

[She grins before shutting off the feed.]

[Good. He's still here. She'd been too afraid to try and find his number in the gear in case he'd gone home by now, and all she can feel now is relief. After all, if he wasn't here, she didn't know what she would do.

So, she lets out a deep breath, finally feeling more at ease.]

Ah, Hayate! [Why does she have to be all the way in New Bark Town when she needs to be able to pat Hayate on the head right now?

Rika tries to give him a reassuring smile, but well, now she's trying to fight back a few tears of her own.] Don't cry, I'm here now. It's alright.

Uuuuu... *sniffle.* I--I'm sorry... I just... Whenever someone leaves... I... I just-- I'm always... *sniff. it is hard to talk through weeping.* I'm always so sure I... I won't ever see them again...!

[She nods, still trying and failing to smile properly.] I understand. Most of the time, people who leave don't come back. [a pause] Or remember everything when they do.

Y... Yeah... *Uwhoa. He really wants to smile for her, yet it's so hard!! He's shook up!! EMOTIONS AT THE BOILING POIIIIINT*

I... I don't know what I would do if you or some of the others came back and... didn't recognize me...

[Rika shakes her head.] I don't either. I know I'd feel terrible if it happened to me, for sure.

*There's a small smile, at least. He can't help but look at her fondly now that he's calmed down a tad.*

[All she can do is smile back.] I'm glad that you're still here. I was afraid you wouldn't be.

Ahaha... I think if anything, me being here will be a rather consistent thing for anyone who I knew that winds up coming back...

... You really have been here for a long time. [a pause] So was I, before I went back home, though.
