[It's late at night, and Rika is sitting on the ground, resting. In the background, there are a few trees and patches of grass. She's currently sitting on the trail itself, her Vulpix right beside her. She looks sad for a moment before she has the camera completely focused on her, and she smiles.]

I'm currently on my way to Violet City. I believe it is only a few more days! [She gives a big smile.] I can't wait to see this city! I think Hope is excited too! [She moves the pokegear to show the Vulpix, who is currently sniffing at something on the ground.]

[When the camera returns to Rika, her demanor has changed slightly and she has a sad smile on her face.] Mii, I've been thinking recently about how everyone has been away from home. So, I was wondering... what was your hometown like? [It's obvious she's feeling homesick, and the only thing she could think of to feel better was to talk to others about their own worlds.]

[She looks worried at the video wondering if Rika was okay.]

Rika-san, you can't sleep either?

Mii, I can't.

But it's fine, I usually stay up late anyway!

[Misuzu looks at Rika's smile closely wondering if everything was really okay because she looked so sad earlier. The look on her face reminds her a bit of her's.]

[She nods her head gently.] If it's okay, then there's no harm talking a little, right?

[She smiles at her.] You guys are all ready on the next route to Violet City?

[Rika can tell that Misuzu must have picked up that something was wrong, and she averts her eyes. Eye contact would really not be the best thing right now.] There isn't at all!

We are! I believe we're getting really close.

How long have you been traveling down the road?

[She watches her closely noticing that she isn't looking back at her. Misuzu tries to act normal, but her eyes are betraying her.] ...hmm.

Only a couple of days now.

[She notices this and finally looks at the camera and grins.] Nipaa!

When will you reach the next town? Do you know?

[The grin on her face caught her by surprise and she returned the smile with a peace sign.] V!

[But the smile weakened a bit because something still didn't feel right.] ...Rika-san...ummm... [How should she ask her if everything was really okay? She didn't want to pry, but the worried feeling won't go away. That and she didn't know how to ask her...since it's the first time she feels worried over a close friend.]

Hmm, I'm not really sure. The path never seems to end! [She giggles.]

[When she sees Misuzu's smile weaken, Rika's expression falls flat for a second before she smiles again.] Mii, what is it?

Ummm... [She looks down for a while playing with her fingers nervously because she wasn't sure where to begin. How do you ask if your friend is okay? Do you just ask or is there a secret way in asking. She wasn't sure and decided to be honest.]

[Her gaze turns to her with the worried look on her face.] Are you sure...I mean.... [She bites her bottom lip for a bit.] ...gao!

[Taking a deep breath, she say all too quickly.] Is everything okay, Rika-san? You...don't seem like your usual cheerful self. Do you feel lonely? Are you sad?

[Rika smirks a bit to herself; Misuzu noticed. She might as well be honest now, as she feels that it would only hurt her friend more if she tried to play it off as if nothing was bothering her. This was a new world, and she wasn't going to let anyone get hurt, no matter what.]

[She sighs.] I...really don't know how I feel right now. I think I just miss home... [How is she supposed to say that she does and doesn't at the same time?]

Oh! [She notices that her eyes were starting to burn a bit, but she acts surprise to keep her mind off the feeling.] So, you're feeling homesick.... [She tilts her head.] Is that why you're asking everybody about their home?

I... believe so. I was hoping to hear about all the happy times that people had in their hometowns. However, it seems like that has not been the case.

They've only told you sad stories about their town?

Not all of them. However, quite a few have been sad. It's at least reminded me that I am not the only one who has had bad experiences.
