[Rika is not amused. At all. The way she is currently presenting herself seems to be completely different than in the past. She means serious business.] Whoever is responsible for this is going to pay. [And she is quite sure of who it is.] I do not appreciate something like this happening in a world that is meant to be peaceful, and I will do what I can to make sure it is stopped.

Therefore, I will be investigating this, since it seems to be coming from outside of Violet City, judging from the direction the crystal is growing. Due to the negative effect that this is having on the environment, I would not be surprised if something similar was going on with the pokémon in the general area.

If you would like to accompany me, meet me at the Center. Make sure your team is well rested and prepared for battle.

*WELL THIS IS AKWARD, as is apparent by the background full of crystal and glittering trees, Hayate kind of wandered out of town all on his own like a winner.*

I'm holding up well, considering how ridiculous the terrain is now... I think I have almost arrived at the general area where it's coming from-- There are a lot more of those oddly shaped pokémon around here... I've had to fend off a few of them on my way out of town, but it's getting a lot more hectic the closer I get...

Would you like for me to go over there now?

Ah, don't force yourself... I can wait it out by the entrance of-- going by the map-- the Ruins of Alph.

I will! [She flashes him a smile before shutting off the gear and then goes into a RUN.]

*Waiting for her or not, Hayate has had to keep himself busy fending off Unown, and by the time Rika will be arriving he has Hina and Sony both out torching and electrocuting their fair share*

Guardian, use Astonish! [There's suddenly a loud shout as a Drifloon joins in on the battle with Hayate's team.]

[She grins.] I can be very fast when it is necessary! [Then she becomes serious again.] We need to make our way closer to the ruins, since it seems to be the root of all this.

I think you got here faster than I did... *He makes a glance over to the other side of the building he has been camping out in front of.* Yeah, we do but... Well... The crystal is really thick there.

... It may be, but we have to make it through. I cannot let this world become ill-fated.

*waving a hand to signal his fiery pup to come back over from torching Unown* --right! Shall I have Hina clear us a path blazed with fire?

Are you ready, Rika-san? This deep in the crystal seems to be constantly forming itself, so it might try and recover any damage we do right away... We'll have to act fast.

I am! [She gets ready to run as soon as Hayate's pokémon attacks.]

Okay, here goes-- Hina! Plow right on through with a Flame Wheel! *cue the dog letting owl a small howl, before coating herself in a ball of fire and barreling straight through the crystals ahead!*

Let's go! *chasing right on after her!*

Alright! [She runs after the two of them, keeping close behind.]

*And we are making our way deep into the main area around the ruin entrance before Hina loses steam on her ball o' fire*

--good job, Hina! *Hayate is glancing back at the path they cleared which is indeed already recovering itself* Haaa... Going to be just as hard to get back out.

Yes. I hope that the crystal doesn't recover to be stronger...

Either way, let's move forward.

Right. *making his way toward the entrance into the ruins, Hina sticking right by his side, throwing some ember toward any Unown who come dive bombing in.*

It's hard to believe there were this many of them nearby-- I've never even seen someone with one of these...
