[Rika is not amused. At all. The way she is currently presenting herself seems to be completely different than in the past. She means serious business.] Whoever is responsible for this is going to pay. [And she is quite sure of who it is.] I do not appreciate something like this happening in a world that is meant to be peaceful, and I will do what I can to make sure it is stopped.

Therefore, I will be investigating this, since it seems to be coming from outside of Violet City, judging from the direction the crystal is growing. Due to the negative effect that this is having on the environment, I would not be surprised if something similar was going on with the pokémon in the general area.

[Rika's Vulpix decides to join in on using Ember.] There are. They seem endless...

It's hard to believe there were this many of them nearby-- I've never even seen someone with one of these...

Neither have I. I actually didn't know that this type of pokémon even existed...

Do you think that they have something to do with this?

There are far too many of them for them to not be involved... I just wonder what it was that caused them to become this aggressive...

There's only one way to find out, and that's going through the Ruins!

Right! Let's see how far in we can get. There's bound to be a clear sign or two of how this started in there.

*He is making his way in to one of the entrances, pushing past some clumped together crystals.*

Yes, and the sooner we find the answers the faster we can fix this problem.

[She follows closely behind Hayate, letting him lead the way.]

*Heading into the ruins proper, he is looking about the ruins in a curious yet cautious manner.*

Hmmm... It looks like everything in here got turned into crystal as well... Is it me, or are there more of those Pokemon outside than in here...?

...It's not just you. It seems that most of the Unown have migrated outside of the Ruins. There seem to be none left here.

So... Do you think if we can make them all come back here, the crystals will go away?

Hmmm, that's possible. How would we go about doing that, though?

Hmm... Well... Maybe if everyone works together to knock them all out, they'll all have to come back here to recover...?

That's possible. Do you think that there may be some deeper into the Ruins?

There could be a pack of them deep within... And if not, there might be a clue as to what made them all leave. I certainly haven't see anything too unusual yet though.

If we could find the exact source of the crystal... I think we will find out all we need to know.

Yeah... Although that might be easier said than done. *whoa there he is stopping in his tracks as some more crystals start to jut out of the ceiling ahead of them.*

Aah! [She jumps out of the way as even more crystal springs out of the ground where she was standing only moments before.] ...We'll just have to be careful then.

--whoa! T-that was a close call, Rika-san... *a pause* Speaking of careful... *He glances down to Hina as she makes a confused 'rowr?' noise, and after a moment of consideration, he is pulling out her pokéball and recalling her.*

... I'll have an easier time avoiding all these sudden growths knowing she's safe in her pokéball.

Don't worry, I can handle any other crystals that decide to pop up!

That's a good idea. [She then recalls her own pokémon into their respective pokéballs.] This way, we'll be able to focus more on ourselves.

Since the ruins so far just seem to be an Indiana Jones style gauntlet of crystals, the less bodies to look out for the better.

... Indiana Jones? [Her confusion at that is immediately interrupted by another piece of crystal appearing out of the ground nearby.]

Ah, it's a movi-- whoa! We should... probably keep moving. *Hayate makes a swift and solid kick to one of the ceiling crystals that came down before to clear an easier opening, before he makes his way forward!*
