002 ☆ [video/action]
Feb. 7th, 2013 07:08 pm[When Rika turns on the Gear, she's standing near the outskirts of Goldenrod with a small, yet satisfied smile on her face.]
After saving my money for a little while, I finally managed to get enough extra to buy this. [She pans the gear down to her hand where a small, shiny pearl rests in her palm. After a few seconds, Rika turns it back to her face.] I think I will make a necklace or bracelet out of it, but I'm not completely sure yet.
[There's a small pause as she carefully places the pearl on top of her bag.] Ah, I also caught a new pokémon yesterday, although he actually followed me until I decided to have him join my team. Let me show you—[and as she's about to pan the Gear down to the ground to show off her Shinx, a Murkrow swoops down and steals the pearl, flying several feet up into the air before Rika can make a move.]
Mii! Give it back! [However, the Murkrow doesn't listen to her pleas as it only flies higher in the air, taunting her. So, Rika does what she can; she starts chasing after it, turning off the Gear.]
((ooc: rika will answer all non-action replies about thirty minutes later after she gets everything sorted!!
also a quick note: i'm leaving for a weekend trip and i'm not bringing my laptop so tags will be slow but i'll still try to get them done on my phone!))

Nov. 20th, 2012 10:03 am[Rika turns the pokégear on, and immediately turns it onto her.] Mii... It's a bit strange being back. [Especially since all of the memories of Johto came rushing back to her as soon as she woke up, but that's something she won't mention right now.] I believe it was July that last time I was here. [She looks at her surroundings before looking back at the Gear.] It's colder than it was when I left, so it's been at least a couple of months, right?
[She lets out a small sigh. Honestly, she's not sure if she wants to know how long she's been gone. Especially if she's been gone for a long time, since it'd be more likely for her friends to have gone home—but she's trying not to think about that right now.

Prince evolved last night. He's done very well so far, but it's exciting to see him evolve.
[Rika smiles at the Umbreon before addressing the Gear again.] I would like to thank everyone who gave me presents for Christmas. I hope everyone had a good holiday and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. This has been my second Christmas here, and it was just as fun this year as it was last year.
[As Rika takes a breath to say something else, her Umbreon suddenly leaps from her arms and runs out of sight before Rika can move after him. She sighs and a tiny pout has replaced her smile.] Mii... He's still very excited about evolving so he's very energetic right now. I think he wants me to play hide-and-seek with him. I wish he wouldn't decide to play in a city, though.
I suppose it's time to start looking for him. [And with that, Rika cuts the feed.]

Jun. 22nd, 2011 09:32 pm[The video feed turns on with a clatter as Rika's PokéGear falls onto the floor. All that's visible is Rika's hand hanging over the edge of the bed. There's silence for a few moments as everything in the room stays still until suddenly there's the sound of a frantic pokémon.]
Vee! Vee! [At that moment, Rika's hand moves out of view of the Gear.]
Prince? Are you all right? [There's fumbling around for the Gear until Rika manages to reach over the side of the bed and pick it up. She has a worried look on her face despite the fact that she's hugging her Eevee.]
What's going on? How long have I been asleep?
Vee! Vee! [At that moment, Rika's hand moves out of view of the Gear.]

Mii! We finally made it back into Olivine last night. It's nice to finally rest after everything that happened while we were traveling. [Fending off the bugs while on the road wasn't much fun for her, after all.] I hope everyone is all right.
... If you age while in Johto, do you feel as if you've really become older? When all of us go back home, we'll just be put back to where we left off in our lives.
I wonder how everyone feels about getting older here.

We made it to Olivine. It took a long time, but we can finally rest. [She looks behind her and giggles at her pokémon.] They look really happy to be here too.
Mii. How many people have been to the beach before coming here? Did you go a lot or only once? ... I remember there being a beach in Cherrygrove as well, so I wonder if some people hadn't ever been to the beach before then.

I am sorry that I did not tell anyone that I would be challenging Falkner today. Satoko, I thought it would be better to show you a more even battle since I was too strong for Falkner and the battle went by quickly... I was not able to fight to my fullest, and I want to show you what my team is really like.
[She's silent as she shifts around, putting the badge down on the ground and picking up her Shinx and setting it in her lap.] ... I have also been thinking about Johto and everyone here lately. We all come from different places, and I've wondered if, given the choice, would you go back home right now? Would you forget all of the memories you've made here?
Or would you prefer to bring all of your loved ones here, and leave your home behind? ... Or maybe you would leave all of your loved ones at home and just stay here? [Rika opens her mouth again as she prepares to say something else when her Shinx licks her on the cheek. Her attention immediately turns to the pokémon and she smiles at it.]

[The time has finally come for Rika to battle Whitney. The battle goes by quickly as Rika manages to fly through the first five pokémon with her Ampharos and Mr. Mime. However, when Whitney's Miltank comes out, Rika runs into some trouble, but she is able to defeat Whitney with her Ninetales. As usual, Whitney bursts into tears after the battle, prompting Rika to comfort her.]
There, there. [She pats Whitney on the head, but it doesn't seem to help much.] It is only one loss. If you become stronger and believe you can do it, then you can win battles in the future. [It doesn't stop Whitney's tears, but she calms down enough to hand the badge to Rika. After deciding that anything else she said wouldn't help the situation, Rika walks over to the Gear, which is being held by a Shinx. She takes the device and scoops the pokémon up into in her arms.] Mii. I did it.

Rika sighs as she walks towards the fallen snowman.]
Mii... It looks like I will have to build another one. I did have a lot of fun making it though, so I don't mind. Maybe I can make him taller this time. Nipaa! [She turns off the Gear as she runs around to gather more snow for another snowman.]

Mii? What should I do with you? [She backs up a bit, slightly afraid of the large pokémon. However, she smiles.] I suppose I should catch you! [She throws a pokéball that she got from her bag at it, successfully catching it. Rika releases it from the ball and smiles at it again.] You look scary, but I'm sure you're not! [She tilts her head to the side.] Mii... what are you, though?

Nov. 24th, 2010 10:12 pm[It's sometime midday when Rika turns the Gear on, and faces the camera towards herself. She's currently sitting down on the trail right outside of Goldenrod, coming back from a training session with her team.] Mii. Training really is a lot of fun. It's a great way to spend time with all of my pokémon. [She grins as a Ninetails nuzzles against her face.] Ah, that's right! Hope has finally evolved. She's become very strong, and I decided that it was time for her to evolve, and now she's gotten even stronger. [Rika pats the Ninetails on the head.] I'm very proud of her.
[There's a small pause before Rika smiles again.] As of today, I have a new member on my team! [She puts the Gear down for a moment as she releases a pokémon. Once she picks it back up, Rika now has a Bulbasaur in her lap.] I'm not exactly sure what to name him yet, but I know that I will come up with a good name! Nipaa!

Oct. 28th, 2010 12:01 am[As Rika promised, she's currently recording her gym battle in Azalea. The battle seems to be going well for Rika, although she runs into a bit of trouble when her Vulpix becomes poisoned, becoming weak. However, Rika is able to solve the problem quickly and turn the tides back into her favor.]
Hope! Finish off his last pokémon! Use Fire Blast! [The Vulpix does just that, causing the opponent's pokémon to faint. As soon as the battle is over, Rika scoops up her Vulpix into her arms in celebration.] We did it! Nipaa!
[She faces the camera and holds up the badge with her free hand and grins.]
